from time to time osec reportedly corrupts its own database and hangs, consuming
CPU cycles and bogging down the system.

while it was considered worth rewriting, we'd at least better run it with
nice(1) to mitigate the performance degradation.

будем смотреть -- вроде пока с 1.0 такого не наблюдалось, спасибо
